NotI am using ableton live lite which on the website shows it supports vst plugins. I have set up custom folders and pointed ableton to them and re scanned multiple times, i have re installed plugins multiple times to different locations to try to fix the problem nothing worked. The only plugins that show up are plugins that have a .vst3 extension any .dll plugins whether it is 32 or 64 bit will not show up in ableton no matter what i try, i have tried the articles on the help website and tried all the steps i have wiped my entire system and did a clean install and tried the steps above to see if it was an external process that was interfering but i still have the same problem no .dll plugin will load no matter where i put it no matter where i install no matter what i do it does not show up in ableton, i have no idea what to do. The website only provides support for intro, standard and suite so i am out of luck.
  • Well, from what I can gather, live 9 does not have a built in bridge. Update the available plugins to 64 bit. Sylenth will be a problem as there is no 64 bit version for Mac. If you paid for your plugs, you will find most are now 64, if you stole them. Not sure about 3rd party bridges like j-bridge for Mac.
  • I've installed this (free) VST from Valhalla but it's not showing up in Ableton. I've also installed Valhalla's super massive and space modulator and they work fine. I'm running the latest version of Ableton live 10 standard. I've installed the 64-bit versions of all the VST's in the same location (C:Program FilesVSTPlugins).

If any one has any idea on how to solve this i would be grateful.New install of Midiquest 11 Pro X64 on Windows 7, 64 bit. Created two instruments, Kurzweil K2000 and Roland SC88. Generated VST plugins for both after setting up the VST path. Verified the VST path both in Midiquest and in Ableton Live 9 64 bit. Verified that the dlls were created for the instruments in the VST path and at the same location. Opened Ableton and refreshed the VST path. I see the Roland SC88 plugin but I do not see the Kurzweil K2000 plugin. Tried restarting Ableton, no luck.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
